Q: How much rebate do I get? Do I get the rebate on my next billing?
A: You can get as much as 5%. The rebate will be reflected in your next billing cycle.
Q: Are all offers fixed or are these just limited time promotion?
A: The core value proposition of the card includes the up to 5% rebate on fuel, tollways and auto shops nationwide. These are always on benefits and will remain as long as the card exists. On the other hand, the McDonald’s vouchers for spends outside of Shell, tollways and auto shops are offered on a limited time basis and may change over time.
Q: How does a customer get the 5% rebate on fuels, toll fees, car services and auto supplies?
A: The customer receives Rebates on eligible transactions while the credit card is active, remains in good credit standing and complies with the terms and conditions. Rebates earned shall be subject to caps. The UnionBank Shell Power Gold Cardholder gets three percent (3%) rebate on qualified spend if they did not meet the required minimum outstore Spend of Ten Thousand Pesos (Php 10,000) per Statement Cycle. The UnionBank Shell Power Platinum Cardholder gets five percent (5%) with no required outstore spend.
Q: How does a customer know if they got the rebate?
A: The customer can see the rebates/rewards/points anytime in UnionBank App. This is also indicated in the statement of account under ‘Available Points’. Rebates are automatically credited to the account of the customer and they can convert this to cash credits anytime through the UnionBank mobile app.
Q: How do I avail the 5% rebate on tollway fees?
A: If toll load is purchased on-site in tollway offices and merchant is using MCC 4784, the rebate will be credited. Tollway load purchased via 3rd party like convenience stores including online purchases will not earn rebates.
Q: How can a cardholder earn McDonalds Vouchers?
A: Cardholder can earn McDonald’s Vouchers when they purchase outside of Shell, outside of Auto Sweep RFID and Easytrip tollway load from accredited tollways, and outside of goods or services from car service and auto supply shops.
Q: Who are eligible for the No Annual Membership Fee for Life?
A: Applicants who get approved for a UnionBank Shell Power Visa Gold or UnionBank Shell Power Visa Platinum credit card, and meet the spend requirements for their Card within sixty (60) business days from card approval date shall be entitled to No Annual Fee For Life.
Q: How can the customer avail of the Free Emergency Roadside Assistance?
A: To avail, the Cardholder (or companion, if the cardholder is not able) shall call AAP at (02) 8723 0808. The Cardholder must be present at the time of the ERS availment and present his/her UnionBank Shell Power Platinum Card to the AAP representative together with a valid government-issued ID. In case of non-availability of AAP personnel/tow truck, AAP will update the Cardholder after every 15 minutes of the status. After confirmation of available tow truck and personnel, AAP will prioritize the Cardholder for the delivery of the necessary road side assistance.
The Principal UnionBank Shell Power Platinum cardholder can avail of the ERS Program only once every calendar year during the promo period. Any availment of the Supplementary UnionBank Shell Power Platinum cardholder shall count as an availment of the Principal UnionBank Shell Power Platinum cardholder. Anything in excess of one availment per calendar year during the promo period shall be paid by the Cardholder and should be settled directly with AAP on cash basis.
Q: How will the customer receive the Birthday Treat?
A: Eligible cardholders will receive an SMS from UnionBank regarding the Birthday Treat.
Q: How can the customer redeem the Birthday Treat?
A: Cardholders who received the SMS must show it to the Shell Café or Select deli2go staff along with their UnionBank Shell Power Gold or Platinum Visa Card to avail the Birthday Treat.
Q: What is the validity of the Birthday Treat?
A: Cardholders who received the SMS can only redeem the Birthday Treat once within their birth month.
Q: How long does it take to process an application?
A: Processing after receiving complete requirements from the customer takes 5-7 business days
Q: Can a customer re-apply after a failed application?
A: Yes, customer can re-apply after six (6) months

Account Migration
Q: I’m an existing Shell customer how do I migrate?
A: Migration for existing Citi cardholders will start in March and will be done in tranches. Meanwhile, you can still use your existing Citi card while waiting for your new UnionBank Shell Power card.
Q: Do I still have to apply for the UnionBank Shell Power Card?
A: There’s no need to apply. The Shell Citi Visa credit cardholders will automatically be migrated and given a UnionBank Shell Power Card.
Q: I’m an existing Shell customer. What happens to my current rebates? Will they be carried over? Reset to zero? Applied to my next bill pre-transition and then reset to zero?
A: All rebates and rewards will be carried over to the new UnionBank Shell Power card. No changes to be expected even after the account has been migrated to the equivalent UnionBank credit card.
Q: If I’m a Shell Citi Cardholder – will these new benefits apply to me already if my card hasn’t been replaced?
A: The new benefits of the UnionBank Shell Power card will only be active with the new card.
Q: If I’m a Shell Citi Cardholder, will I be able to avail UnionBank promo offers?
A: For eligibility, one time promotional offers will be communicated to existing Citi cardholders through their registered SMS or e-mail addresses.
Q: Will my credit limit change?
A: There will be no changes on the rewards nor credit limit when the card has been replaced with the equivalent UnionBank card.
Q: When can I expect my UB Shell Power Card?
A: For current Shell Citi cardholders, UnionBank has started replacing the cards in March 2024, and this is being done in tranches. For new applications, you can expect your card to be delivered to your registered address 2 to 3 weeks upon approval.
